ALBANY FLORIST'S CUP

Congratulations to Martin Dilkes who became the latest name on the cup.  This competition which prevents our top end players from taking part is also handicapped to give all our players a chance. Martin,  who has just become eligible as a 3rd division player as the Taverners were relegated last season had to give all his opponents a start. Group winners were Fred Wakefield, Ivor Copley and Martin. There were also fine performances from Andy Guy and Marc Winstanley who both reached the semi finals. However it was Ivor Copley who had to tackle Martin in the final. With just a +2 start Ivor was unable to trouble Martin’s consistent, awkward game.
