2015-16 Season - Use of Plastic Balls

Table Tennis England has "strongly advised leagues to introduce plastic balls for the 2015-2016 season".

At the RDTTA 2015 AGM, following significant discussion, it was unanimously agreed that all teams in the Reading league should play with the new plastic balls from the 2015/16 season.  This was ratified at the RDTTA Management Committee meeting on 10th June.

So players are advised that that for the 2015/16 season, all matches played in all RDTTA league, cup & other competitions should use one of the new plastic balls. The full list of authorised balls is available on the ITTF website.

To help with the cost of the new plastic balls, the RDTTA Management Committee have agreed to provide 6 balls, free of charge, to each team that registers to play in the Reading League for the 2015/16 season.  The balls to be provided will be Xushaofa seamless and will be made available to Clubs along with the RDTTA printed Handbooks on Monday 7th September 2015.
