Following a directive from Table Tennis England Bolton Table Tennis League came to an immediate conclusion at the start of last week. There will be no Closed Championships and no finals and presentation evening,
Fortunately, there has been little change in the top table positions since the half-way point of the season, so it was not expected that with three weeks to go that there would have been little change by the end of the season.
So, Flixton ppong A are the Champions of the Premier Division with Ramsbottom Town A in second place.
Winners of Division One are Ramsbottom Town C with Polonia Club A runners-up.
Farnworth Social Circle C have been leaders of Division Two throughout the season. Unfortunately, due to a rules infringement in planning matches, they slip to second-place with Ramsbottom Town D moving into first place. At least both teams will now be promoted.
Winners of Division Three are Farnworth Social Circle D with Polonia Club B in second place.
Table Tennis being an indoor sport is now on hold for the foreseeable future. One can only hope for improvements during the summer so that the new season can begin in September.
