KDTTL Annual Tournament
Annual Tournament, Dallam School Sports Hall
Sunday 23 April 2023, 09.00 to 18.00.
You are invited to take part in the above Annual Tournament and the Entry Form is attached.
On the tournament day most events will be played through to the final and then finals and presentations will take place on Finals Night the following Wednesday evening (26 April) at Burton Memorial Hall (with Jacob’s Join supper!). The exceptions may be the Junior Events, which will hopefully be completed on the tournament day.
This year we have opened up the tournament as follows:
· As previous years, all members of Kendal and District Table Tennis League are eligible to play.
· Players who are members of clubs affiliated to KDTTL but who do not play in the League are welcome to play.
· Any juniors (including those who play in the first and second divisions) are very welcome to enter the U16, U13 and U11 events.
There is no limit to the number of events you can enter, which gives you the opportunity to play a lot of competitive table tennis in our excellent tournament venue at Dallam School. Please do not think that you should not enter unless you are one of the League’s top players. Most of the singles events will be played on a group basis and there is also a handicap singles event so you will get plenty of opportunity to play table tennis regardless of your standard. There is no charge for participating in this tournament.
How to enter and the closing date for entries are stated on the entry form (below). I hope you will take this opportunity to enter and gain the benefit of some competitive table tennis. As you all know already, there is nothing like playing players of a similar or higher standard to improve your game.
Best wishes, Mick Taylor
League General Secretary
