The new winter league season beckons

New League Season Beckons

Competitive play in the Kendal & District Table Tennis Winter League will resume on September 25th. It is now time for those wishing to play to clean up their bats and sign up with one of the Clubs which are affiliated to the League. Last season, 24 teams competed in the League, in 3 divisions, representing 9 clubs. Clubs represented included Division 1 Champions Dalton Cricket Club, IBIS, Natland and Oxenholme, Burton-in-Kendal, Dallam, Crook, Grayrigg, Dent and Kirkby Stephen. If sufficient players come forward, there may also be a team from the new Kendal Table Tennis Club, based at Kendal Leisure Centre. The Kendal & District Table Tennis League also has representative teams in the National Cadet League and the Lancashire and Cheshire League (Veterans section).

Social table tennis continues to develop at the new Kendal Table Tennis Club which opened on May 2nd, 2017. The club runs every Tuesday, from 7-9 in the evening, all year round, at the Kendal Leisure Centre. The club offers a fun environment, at a great venue, for players of all standards, with everyone trying to enjoy it and improve their table tennis. We are now looking for 2 more members. Anyone interested in ‘coming and trying it’ should email tony@lonsdaleconsulting.co.uk or ring/text 07814 029471 to reserve a place.
