Mike Taylor wins Crook Tournament

The annual Crook Veterans Open Table Tennis Tournament took place yesterday in the Crook Memorial Hall. 26 players, over the age of 40, from as far afield as the Wirral, got up early to compete in this excellent day long handicap event. Fittingly, the winner was Crook’s very own Mike Taylor. For pictures see - https://www.tabletennis365.com/Kendal/Gallery/639/Crook_Vets_Tournament_2017

Play continued throughout the week in the Kendal & District Table Tennis League and IBIS kept in touch with the leaders Dalton A with a hard fought 6-4 victory over Natland A. Steve Dixon was once again man of the match with 3 comfortable victories in the singles. In Division 2, Dallam A returned to the top with a comfortable victory over a 2 man Burton C team. Both Matt Neal and Peter Duxbury were unbeaten. Burton C claimed 2 valuable points with victories for both James Burton and Simon Gregory over Thomas Parkinson.
