Match report - November 21st

Impressive Pimblett

Natland A, with 29 points from 4 matches, are currently top of Division 1 of the Kendal Table Tennis League. Star of the show has been Roger Pimblett who has won all 12 of his singles matches to date for the loss of a single solitary game, including 3 wins against defending champions Dalton A. IBIS, for whom Steve Dixon also has a 100% record, look like providing the strongest challenge at the top and the clash of the titans will be interesting when IBIS face Natland A.

In Division 2, Burton D remain top after a creditable 7-3 victory over promotion rivals, Dallam A. Another 3 wins for Burton number one, Martin Wakelin, plus 2 from Tony March and one from Mike Gregory, set up the win. Wakelin and March combined to take the doubles. Wakelin has won 13 of his 14 singles matches for Burton D.

In Division 3, Crook C, despite losing 2 matches, are marginally ahead of Grayrigg but Kirkby Stephen B, with a game in hand, are handily placed to challenge.
