It is with great sadness that I write to inform the table tennis community that Rod Robertson passed away on April 5th after a short illness. Players from HTTA may well have played against/with Rod in the Bradford and Yorkshire Leagues. Funeral details are detailed below:

Peter sadly died on Thursday 20th March, he was 97. His funeral is on Monday April 7th at 12.20pm at Stonefall Cemetery.
Peter was involved in table tennis in Harrogate for many years, he ran the sessions at Granby High School on Monday evenings for many years having taken over from Vick and Lou Smith in the 80’s? Peter was very active in bringing players back to table tennis as well as encouraging new ones to join the league. He is fondly remembered.

Sad to report the passing of Ken Barker.
Many of you will know Ken as the founder of the Staveley Table Tennis Marathon raising over £110,000 for Charity over several years.

Perpetual Awards to Charles Usher, Harrogate Racquets Club, Nidge O'Brien and Charlie Crankshaw

Peter's funeral will take place at Stonefall Crematorium on Monday 3rd June at 13.00.

Many ex and current players will wish to attend the service and then afterwards at Knaresborough Cricket Club.

Scorecards are now available to view for the three prelim round matches and 11 of the 1st Round matches and draw for 2nd round.

This year's marathon will again be held at Staveley & Copgrove Village Hall on Saturday 18th & Sunday 19th November

Divisional events to be run again this season!

The first match of the 2023/24 Yorkshire League Season took place on Sunday 1st October. Harrogate were home to York 4 in Division 3. Harrogate won the match 8-2
