The Handicap Cup final was played tonight at the Newcastle Badminton Centre between the Mount St Gabriel’s team of Howard McCain, Jason Gargett & Gary Anderson vs The Saints team of John Cook, Hakan Alsan & Luke Brown. 
MSG raced into a 4-0 lead and Saints looked to be heading for a whitewash !! Only for them to fight back and take the next 2 sets. Jason Gargett took on Luke Brown in the 7th game and narrowly lost the 1st end 20-22. However he won the next 2 games to take the win and for MSG to become Handicap Cup Champions 2023/24 winning 5-2 and going one better than last year when they were runners up. The match was played in a very sporting manner & congratulations to both teams for putting on a great display of TT.
