Lions A tasted defeat for the first time this season, with an inspired performance from Whistlers A resulting in an 8-2 loss. Joshua Stacey and Dawn Morgan had their best league nights of the season thus far as each defeated Garry Dodd, Liam Robilliard and Chloe Le Tissier in singles action.

The second round of matches continued where the first left off, with Lions A and B sides maintaining their unbeaten record.

The teams have only been separated by games difference throughout the majority of the season thus far and the only point that each side has dropped came when their encounter ended as a 5-5 draw.

Lions B moved to the top of the 1st Division table on games difference ahead of their A side thanks to the first 10-0 result of the season in this division, Lions C the side to incur the surprise whitewash. Phil Ogier, Paul Hainsworth and reserve Matt Stubbington all earned singles wins over Joshua Butler, Alex Robinson and Andre De Carteret. Ogier and Stubbington combined to defeat Butler and De Carteret in a straight game doubles win.

Lions A's strong start to the Division 1 campaign continued with an impressive 7-3 win over their Whistlers counterparts, Whistlers A. Garry Dodd is back into form and he cruised past Joshua Stacey, Lawrence Stacey and Dawn Morgan without dropping an end. He was backed up well by Liam Robilliard who also won his 3 singles matches.

The local top flight league returned to action this week with the traditional 3 man format being restored after 2 consecutive seasons of a 2 man format having been used.

Due to the odd number of 5 teams in the Division, there will only be 2 matches played each week.

Division 3 

Ryan Gilson and Theo Lepp also had a strong start to the season. Gilson defeated Jenny Powell, Bolette Hjorth and Jan Priest while Lepp picked up three wins against Matthew Casey, Mathew Board and Alex Dekker.
