JOHN MONK

It is sad news to announce that John Monk passed away on the 9th December 2024.

John was Chairmen of Mountnessing T.T.C. a job he was not known for but he said

someone’s got to do it, he made a stipulation that all meetings started at 7.30pm

sharp and finished at 8.30pm as he had a table booked for 8.45 at the local pub for dinner, he was unanimously voted in.

Out of the 13 leagues in Essex John was registered to play in 8 of them also one in

Norfolk (Diss T.T.C.). John loved table tennis and T.T. people and the camaraderie

that it brings the mood would always change when John turned up to a near social event.

His other great interests were Spurs (season ticket holder), Dagenham & Redbridge

(season ticket holder), and Cricket was another passion he had.

John will be missed more then we know. R.I.P. old friend.
