Over the past few hours, I have been contacted by several parents concerned by the predicted snowfall in Warwickshire.

In view of the severe weather forecast and given that so many people will be travelling quite a distance to Rugby, I have decided that it is better to postpone the competition scheduled for Friday 18th January. I feel that it is better to make a decision sooner rather than leave it until the last minute and hope that this makes things easier for parents who need to plan ahead.

I had received a particularly good number of entries this year, so hope that everyone will be able to play when it has been rescheduled. As soon as I have a new date I will make sure it is circulated and posted on the Warwickshire website.

I am sorry if this is disappointing for all the players, but am sure you agree that safety must come first and that it is the sensible decision.
