Eastmoor C v Denhale
Paul Haycock, Paul Coletta and Charlie came up against Chow, Graham and Phil for this match. PaulH and Chow faced off first with Chow taking the win and PaulC suffered the same fate against Graham. Charlie and Phil shared the first 2 sets with Phil taking the next 2 for another good win. PaulC found Chow in great form going down 3-0 and Paul H just failed to convert the 5th set in his favour as Phil prevailed 12-10. Charlie and Graham then had another 5 setter and Graham took the last 2 of these to put the match score to 6-0. The 2 Pauls couldn’t match up to Graham and Chow in the doubles and Phil ensured maximum points for Denhale taking his 3rd win this time against PaulC. Charlie lost a tight 4 setter to Chow and finally PaulH got a win for Eastmoor beating Graham 3-2 to leave the final score 9-1 to Denhale.
Eastmoor A v Eastmoor B
John, Chris and Daniel contended with Paul, Carl and Tyrone here. In a really tight encounter John faced a very much in form Paul but came away the loser going down 3-2. Chris evened things up accounting for Carl in 4 close run sets and Daniel repeated this feat beating Tyrone in the same manner. Chris and Paul were on next and Paul continued his hot streak with a great 3-0 win. John and Tyrone shared the first 2 sets before John took the next 2 and Daniel recovered from losing the first set to Carl and won the next 3. Regular doubles pair Chris and John took the doubles against Tyrone and Carl for a 5-2 lead. Straight on again Chris and Tyrone played out a great match with Chris sneaking home 15-13 in the 5th. Daniel fared no better than his team mates against Paul losing 3-0 and finally dad beat son over 4 sets to give a final score of 7-3 to the A team.
