Handicap cup week 2

Handicap Cup results

Just 2 matches to report on

Barnsley v Denhale

Ray, Brian and Colin were up against Graham, Phil and David Wilson. David had volunteered to play in lace of regular Chow as he’s back n Hong Kong. The handicap obviously was heavily in Denhales favour against the top team but the outcome still hinged on just a couple of points and in particular one match up. Colin v Graham, by my calculations I had this down as a win for Colin on past performances, he’d won their three encounters reasonably comfortably but Graham put in a sterling effort taking it by 5 points which made the difference in the end. After the handicaps were added the scoreline was 387-398. Mention must be made of Davids efforts too, a welcome return from him.

PWTT v Eastmoor A

Nicky Lee and John were up against Mark, Chris and John here.

Another close encounter here. Nicky and Lee got the match off to a great start with convincing wins over Mark and Chris and it looked like my handicapping was a mess but I needn’t have worried as John and his team rallied and narrowed the margins in the next few games. As predicted by previous encounters this season PWTT were expected to win the individual battles but and finally it all came down to the last 2 match ups, Kevs narrow win over Mark and Nickys final finishing flourish against an ailing Chris, full of cold, sealing the match. Score was 384-375 after handicaps
