Extension of deadline for 2nd Half Matches
In view of the recent bad weather and increase in Covid cases it has been decided that any reasonable request for a postponement for second half matches will be considered sympathetically. A reasonable final date seems to be 17 March so please don't ask for anything after that as it is likely to be declined!

Table Tennis England Fees
I am disappointed that despite several reminders there are still players who haven't paid their TTE fees for 2022/23.
You are NOT eligible to play in the League if you are not paid up with TTE so if you haven't paid yet you must do so before you play. This is my final notice on this and any results which I get in future showing an ineligble player will be entered with the ineligible players games shown as 'Forfeit'.

No annual championship this season
Only a very few responses to an email from Roger, asking for any desire for the annual championship this year
Combined with the concern, and general struggle with venues, regarding COVID the committee decided last night to postpone the championship. We were trying to use Rushbury with their excellent set up there and plan to maybe try there in September as a run in for next season.

Playing Up
Rule 13 (b) restricts playing up to once a calendar month but permission can be given to override this rule under certain circumstances. I am anxious that full teams of three play if at all possible so please be aware that I will consider applications sympathetically. I know there have been a large number of injuries and illness this season so I will bear this mind when any request is made.

New Season 2021/22
Just a reminder that there is no TT365 fee to pay for the new season but TTE have to be paid to make you eligible to play in our league. You will run the risk of games being forfeited if you are not registered with TTE.
If you are new to Shrewsbury League, when you pay TTE there will be an option to enter Shrewsbury as one of your Leagues and the details will be automatically registered.

Player Eligibility
Please take note that in accordance with the rules that at this stage of the season a player who has played less than one third of the scheduled league matches is not eligible to play without permission from the League Match Secretary. If an ineligible player is played Rule 11 applies.
It is the team's responsibility to be aware of the rules so please be warned!

Changing racket (bat) during a match
Roger Whitfield sent a message to all clubs at the start of the season confirming the rule regarding the changing of the racket (bat) during a match.
For the avoidance of doubt here is the TTE rule:
Rule 2.4.10 A racket shall not be changed during an individual match unless it is accidentally damaged so badly it cannot be used
