League Update 13th Nov
Cramlington Casuals and NESLC Eagles both retained their 100% records in the Premier Division of the Northumbria League with the Casuals team of Andrew Wilkinson, Ryan Richardson and Dean Richardson defeating the Tigers 8 - 2, Dave Robson getting both of the Tiger's sets. At the same time the Eagles overwhelmed Seaburn Dene 9 - 1, Jim Stamas, Steve Penman and Richard Wilson all unbeaten in the singles. Keith Weatherby was unbeaten for Saint Chads who defeated Cramlington Stingers 8 - 2 and Ian Robertson notched up a hat-trick for YMCA North Tyneside in a drawn match with the Reivers.
In the first division North Fire A and Riding Mill A fought out a draw with six of the ten sets needing five ends to decide them. Clive Dewison was unbeaten for Fire backed up by Frank Lasek who won two while Peter Stempczyk got two for the visitors with Andrew Firth and Maurice Cheek getting one each and Stempczyk and Cheek winning the doubles.
Mike Bradley was in form for second division Birtley with three victories as his side just got the better of Ouston A with John Rowell winning twice and combining with Bradley to win the doubles. Neil Rodgers managed two for Ouston. YMCA N.Tyneside B   also had a close match, beating Old England Crocks 6 - 4 thanks to a hat-trick by Ronnie Scott. The win keeps them at the top of the table level with Cramlington Cobras who beat Mortimer 7 -3. At the other end of the table Corinthians and Saints drew 5 - 5.
Paul Jamieson won all of his matches for the Spartans and was backed up by Mike Dunn and Diane Cartmell who got two each in an 8 - 2 third division success over NESLC Codgers.
In the fourth division Cramlington Jaguars and Lions both won their matches against Newton D and Ouston D respectively and Matfen C defeated Cramlington Magpies.
