Oli Matthews of Bexhillians Premier Table Tennis Club  was presented with the Roger Gillett Award In recognition of excellence by his club's chairman Graham Gillett. This award capped off a fine season for Oli with him previously being presented with the Hastings & District Table Tennis Association award for the most improved Junior Player in the Senior league. Oli also won the Division 3 singles title at the Hastings Closed Tournament and came runner up in the Junior event. His team, Bexhillians G, won Division 3 in the H&DTTA  and he also played as a reserve for Bexhillians C who came runners up in Division 2 and won the Division 2 Doubles title.Finally Oli played for Byng Hall TTC in the National Junior League and won a team silver medal and this year he has been selected along with two other Junior Bexhillians Table Tennis players, Emily Koester and Leon Hyde, to represent H&DTTA in the National Junior League.
