Safeguarding and Welfare

Safeguarding can be viewed as the ‘umbrella’ that protects all participants of table tennis through examples of good practice, policies and guidelines, whilst child protection is the management of reported issues and concerns.

Working with young people is key for the expansion of table tennis at Bexhillians TTC and, with our coaching sessions, Bexhillians Table Tennis Club try to give the opportunities for young people to participate and help them on their way to achieving their sporting and social ambitions.  Through our Premier Club affiliation with Table Tennis England we are very proud of our ethos of inclusivity throughout our sport and recognises the key part that vulnerable adults have to play. It is very important that support is given to the volunteers, players and parents by way of good practice guidelines and this document, Table Tennis England’s Safeguarding and Vulnerable Adults Policy and Guidelines is part of the practice.

Bexhillians Table Tennis Club follow the procedures and policies governed by Table Tennis England.

The club’s Safeguarding Policy may be downloaded from the ‘Downloads’ menu.
