Tackleway Table Tennis Club Committee Members

These are the ten people who have been elected to run Tackleway Table Tennis Club for the 2024-25 season.  Please feel free to address any queries, problems or suggestions you may have during your time as a member or a guest of the club to an appropriate committee member.

Michael Funnell – Chairman & General Secretary

Plays in Division One for Tackleway Boll.  Mike has competed i the Hastings league for over 50 years and has been a player with our club for 25 of those. taking on the Chairman and General Secretary roles in 2022.

Kevin Rowe – Vice Chairman & Coaching Officer

Plays in Division One for Tackleway Chuquin and is our senior ETTA registered coach.  Attended the ETTA safeguarding course in May 2024.  Kev joined the club in 1980.

Chris Floyd – Treasurer

Plays in Division Three for Tackleway Ito.  Chris joined the club in 2019 following the disbandment of Tigers TTC, having initially represented Travaux TTC in 1968.

Danny Rickaby – Welfare Officer & First Aider

Plays in Division One for Tackleway Chuquin and is an ETTA registered coach.  Attended the ETTA safeguarding course in May 2024.  Danny joined the club in 1968 and served as the club leader for 30 years.

James Gorridge – Match Secretary

Plays in Division One for Tackleway Aruna and is an ETTA registered coach.  Joined the club in 2014.  James also runs the Simply Table Tennis initiative, which is dedicated to supporting the area’s junior players.

Roy Funnell – Facilities Officer

Plays in Division One for Tackleway Boll and has played in the Hastings league for about five decades, spending the last 30 of those years with our club.  Roy is our 'go to man' for any repair or maintenance needs.

 Andy Holmes – Webmaster

Plays in Division Two for Tackleway Gaoyjuan.  Attended the ETTA safeguarding course in May 2024.  Like Chris, Andy joined the club in 2019 following the disbandment of Tigers TTC. 

 Josh Smith – Publicity Officer & Social Secretary

Plays in Division Three for Tackleway Harimoto.  Joined the club in 2021 after attending our outreach practice sessions in Westfield.  Josh is the prime instigator of all our social evenings and pool nights.  He also brings the tea urn to practices.

Keith Lindsay – Club Ambassador

Plays for Simply Table Tennis with a view to supporting juniors into the senior league whilst remaining a club member.  Keith joined the club in the mid 1980’s and was club organiser and fund seeker for several years until recently.  He is an ETTA registered coach and attended an ETTA safeguarding course in May 2024.

John Quintos – Junior Representative

Plays in Division Two for Tackleway Gaoyjuan.  John joined the club in 2021 after attending our outreach practice sessions in Westfield.
