TTE Registration - Important!

There are still a lot of players who haven't registered with TTE. The new season starts a week next Monday so it is important that everyone does it straightaway to enable me to complete my work on fixture and team lists, etc. I have no wish to start off by giving teams zero points for playing ineligible players but this could happen if you don't deal with it before you play. PLEASE HELP ME WITH THIS. Rob

New Season fixtures 2018 2019

Please see News for coding and fixtures for this coming season.

As the league have 4 new teams, which will fill up the dates, the divisional cups will not be run this season.

The consolation cup will probably be resurrected however.

Priory Nights starting 6th September UPDATE No 1st November

Priory night practice started Thursday 6th September 7:30- 9:00. £2.50 for adults £1.00 juniors as before. Please Note 1st September (half term) Now not available.

The school have purchased 4 new tables so we will have 9 tables in good condition to practice. If we have more than 36 players, which occasionally occurred previously, then we will introduce a rotation system to make sure that all players have a turn. Normally this shouldn't be a problem however.

TTE Registration

A reminder that it is now the player's individual responsibility to register with Table Tennis England. A lot of players already do it and by making this change it saves the League Match Secretary, League Treasurer and Club Secretaries a lot of extra administration work. It is a simple process and can be done via the TTE website or ringing 01908 208898. I will be happy to help if you have any queries.

Changing racket (bat) during a match

Roger Whitfield sent a message to all clubs at the start of the season confirming the rule regarding the changing of the racket (bat) during a match.

For the avoidance of doubt here is the TTE rule:

Rule 2.4.10 A racket shall not be changed during an individual match unless it is accidentally damaged so badly it cannot be used

Divisional Cup fixtures (Semi Finals and Final)

In the event of a tie in the result of a divisional cup match then the deciding result will relate to number of sets won, if still undecided  then number of points won. Finally in the unlikely event that this is still undecided then captains will nominate a player in each team to play off a game to decide.

Divisional Cup Semi-Finals and Finals

Although not contained in the rules I am proposing that in the event of a draw 5-5 in the semi-finals and finals, priority is firstly on sets won, then on total points and in the unlikely event that the match is still tied the two number ones play off with one set

IMPORTANT! - TTE Registration

There are still a few players for whom I do not have full information to enable me to enter them on the appropriate team lists on the TT365 Website. If they aren't registered properly you are at risk of losing points so please get the details to me urgently if you haven't already done so. If you aren't sure please email or ring me to confirm.
