Boxley 1 have now drawn 4 matches this season, the most in Div One. They probably should have done better as they led Luton 4-1 with Gary Hentschel gaining 2 good wins over Ian Sayer and Fizz Goldsmith and Barry Roles and Steve Neilson both beating Tony Boarer. Boxley's only reverse at this stage was Sayer's comfortable win over Roles. Luton then fought back with Neilson unable to add to his single win and Boarer using the pace from Hentschel's shots well to find good angles and cause an upset and take down the Boxley man in 4 legs, surely Tony's best win of the season. Roles managed to beat Goldsmith in a strange up and down 5 legger 11-9 in the decider which gave the hosts the edge going into the Doubles. Ian and Tony were successful in the 5th to bring the season to an end. Luton finish 4th in the final Div One table, Boxley 6th.
