Match Report

This match was played a week late but Upnor B were still only able to field regulars Marylyn Dudgeon and Dave Gracey for the visit of 2nd placed Sturdee 2. Its been a frustrating season for the Frog Islanders and, barring a miracle, they will return to Div 2 next season. Their opponents are heading in the opposite direction as this 9-1 success gives them a big lead over 3rd placed Chatham Dorset. Upnor Captain, Marylyn, did get a point for her side with a fine straight legs win over Andy Marchant, but Dave couldnt get any joy against Andy, Mike Ingram or Jas Plaha who was Player of the Match for the first time this season. Upnor wont even get the 3 bonus points usually awarded as they requested the postponement of the match.
