Cumberland picked up their first win of the season with a briliant win over fellow strugglers Sherness East 1. Gareth Fox and Abbie Hurley both posted trebles and were supported by Julian Barker who registered a brace, only going down  to Michael Barker in four legs.  Julian fought hard to come back from two legs to one down to overcome Jason Adams 11,6 in the fifth and Keith Ludlum in four after losing the first. Abbie  continues to impress, losing just two legs in her maximum. The doubles was a close encounter, with Sherness winning in five to make the scorecard less embarrassing!. There is now just three points separating the bottom three, it could turn out, to be one of the  most exciting finishes for years!
