The two promoted sides from Div 2 have both struggled in Div One this season and occupy the current bottom two spots. Furious did, however, record their best win of the season which was aided by 3 walkover points as Fizz Goldsmith had to withdraw during his first game due to a recurrence of an injury which has plagued him most of the season. This was against Kevin Towner so effectively gave him his first win of the season. Kevin did, however, get a proper win later when he defeated Dave Murtagh over 5 legs. Dave also went the distance with Nathan Round but again came 2nd. Mick "The Jeans" Barber had his best return of the season with 2 wins only losing to Player of the Match James Townsend. Furious will need an unlikely big win next week against Clubmates Endurance and hope Dorset lose heavily to have any chance of Div One survival.
