Cliffe Woods 2 tasted defeat for the first time this season but only have themselves to blame as, surprisingly, they gifted Rainham 1 with 3 points in this top of the table clash. Only Peter Mortley and Dave Lewis turned out but they nearly salvaged a draw as they both beat Dave Barr and Vinnie McAneney and then led 2-1 in the Doubles before Vinnie and Rikki Clarke took the last two legs to secure the 6-4 win. This was Rainham's 9th straight victory. Rikki has had an impressive first half to the season winning all his games and only dropping 5 legs in total in 8 matches. These two sides are now joint leaders of Div One but Rainham are top by virtue of games won.
