These two sides have completely opposite records.  Rainham 1 have won all their matches and Luton have so far lost all theirs. Unfortunately for the visitors this trend continued as the hosts ran out 8-2 winners. Luton included Dennis McConkey in their line-up for only the 2nd time this season and Dennis is still a very capable player at this level. He took a 2 leg lead against Dave Barr before falling in the 5th. He also tested the unbeaten Rikki Clarke taking a leg off the Rainham man which not many have done this season. Rikki's Dad, Gary,started well with a win against Mick Barber but lost in in 4 legs to Dennis and also went down in 5 legs to Keith Ball, to give Keith his 2nd win of the season. The Doubles was also an even contest before Rainham won it 11-8 in the decider.
