Boxley 1 Captain, Lyndon Gurr, led his side to their biggest win of the season when they hosted Div One new boys, Chatham Furious. He firstly mastered the spin of opposite Skipper James Townsend, then beat Kevin Towner, who was playing his first match of the season, in 4. He completed his first hatrick of the season withstanding a spirited comeback from Mike Carlyle to eventually see him off 11-6 in the decider. Townsend bounced back from his early loss to register wins against Barry Roles and Gary Hentschel (both over 5 legs). The visitors had a good chance to get a 3rd point on the board when the Carlyle/Towner combo went 2 legs up in the Doubles. However, Player of the Match Gurr and Hentschel finally found their touch and took the last 3 legs to secure the 8-2 result.
