Match Report

Luton Invicta 3 made the short trip up the hill to play Boxley 1 and got their best points return of the season thus far, but still slipped to their 4th consecutive loss. Phil Goldsmith, resplendent in new shirt, returned to play the same opposition he faced just 2 weeks ago for Luton's 2nd team and got another double. This time reversing the result against Barry Roles but repeating his success over Lyndon Gurr. He found Gary Hentshel in sharper form in  this match, however, as the Boxley man took him in 4 legs. Hentschel also beat the evergreen Dennis McConkey also over 4 close legs and Luton's 3rd player, Dave Murtagh, who had a blank evening. Gurr played well to defeat McConkey for his brace but Dennis rallied to beat Roles with some consistent flat hitting and placement and then teamed up with Goldsmith in the Doubles to secure a 4th point for the away side.
