A great win for Sturdee with maximums from both captain Neil Lemilliere and a rejuvinated Dave Bonner.
Neil dropped just one leg in his maximum, to reserve Gareth Fox, but Segun Ake and Shev Mcdonald found his awkward play too much to handle. The latter didn't help his cause, by apparently turning up at the wrong venue to start with, Upnor!, Dave Bonner has always been someone who fights to the death, and this was evident in his two fifth leg victories, firstly Shev Mcdonald, 11,9 in the decider and then Segun Ake, 11,4 in the fifth, a terrific night from the Sturdee player.
Tim Vaughan picked up a brace and will be slightly disappointed to throw away a two leg lead over Shev, 11,7 in the fifth.
