Ark Royal ran out 7, 3 winners with Martin Hewett picking up a maximum for Sherness although he was made to fight by the steady play of Stuart Fritter, winning 11,8 in the fifth. Mark Buckley and Martin Birley registered braces with the former winning one leg 11.2 against Martin Hewett, before going down in four. Michael Barker managed a good 11,5 leg win over Martin Birley before the Chatham player showed his class to win in four legs. Paul Kelly found it a bit too tough on the night and couldn't trouble the scorecard
