Match Report

Cliff Woods were 8,2 victors in a hard fought clash with two man Luton. Phil Thomas picked up his customary treble although was made to fight by the ever vocal Martin Ball. The Cliff player always seems to make the game look easy, but this was a hard match and It took the Cliff player to use all his class to triumph 11,7 in the fifth.  Matt Emery and Alan Longhurst accounted for Will Wrapson and it was left for Martin Ball to  register a brace, a brilliant three leg win over Alan Longhurst, the Cliff player obviously tired from a cruise break! and a fourth leg victory over Matt Emery, all legs fairly close. The doubles was another fifth leg match and Cliff just squeezed home, 11.9 in the decider to secure the victory
