Once again Javelin proved how much they have progressed during the season when they played this match without, arguably, their two best players but still managed to beat Upnor 7-3 with Johann Lee, playing for the first time, and Kieran Robertson  both gaining trebles although Joe Weatherhead didn't manage a singles point but did partner Kieran to a straight sets doubles win.  For Upnor Spencer Webb, Colin Hutchins and Brenda Aherne all beat Joe but that was the limit of their resistance as the youngsters got another fine win and are threatening to take third place at the end of the season.
