Vic Hope led his team to this victory at the expense of Gannet, playing without their captain Chris Morford. Vic got a treble and was backed up by two for Phil Hayes and a welcome single for Eddie Stevens. For Gannet Ian Kelly went winless but there was a single for Roger Chipperfield and a double for Steve Collins plus a five set doubles victory bu Rainham got the welcome win, only their third of the season.
