This result was a win for age and experience over youth and exuberance as Phil Hayes and Vic Hope both got three without dropping a set to their young opponents.  Javelin's points came when both Kieran Robertson and Maxwell Antrim beat Dave Kinslow but young Joe Weatherhead drew a blank and Rainham closed out the match with a three-set doubles win.
