This match was full of contrasts and the match was decided by Chris Morford having a fine evening and going unbeaten for Gannet while Bob Ellis, who is having a miserable run,  couldn't buy a win and went winless for Boxley.  Chris' evening was capped by a fine five set win over Steve Neilson 15-13 in the decider.  For Boxley both Steve and Mick Sheppard won two-both beating Roger Chipperfield and Steve Collins while the Chatham pair both beat the luckless Bob to gain a single each.  The match was decided when Roger and Chris won the doubles in three close sets.
