CHATHAM GANNET 2 LUTON INVICTA 3 8
Dennis McConkey made a welcome return to league play and promptly helped himself to a maximum at the expense of Roger Chipperfield, Chris Morford and Steve Collins. Dennis was assisted in this win by a treble from Phil Midgley, a single from the injured Mick Barber and a straight sets doubles win. For Gannet both Chris and Steve beat the suffering Mick but Roger only had the satisfaction of taking a set from Phil to show for his evenings endeavours.
