Despite the appearance of Tony Jarrett Upnor slumped to a heavy defeat at the hands of Furious. Tony managed a single win at the expense of Nathan Round but James Townsend and the improving Mike Carlyle both got trebles for Furious and with Nathan winning his other games plus a straight sets doubles win Furious ran out comfortable 9-1 winners. For Upnor Spencer Webb and Brenda Aherne picked up the odd set but couldn't continue and both lost all their games.
