Mick Sheppard showed all his old wiliness and experience to gain a treble at the expense of a young Javelin side.  Mick won his first two games with a minimum of fuss but had to come back from two sets down to beat Robert Coe who once again showed what a prospect he is.  Mick was backed up by doubles for Derek Myers and Bob Ellis who both beat Aidan Craddock and Joe Weatherhead.  Joe was especially unlucky to lose to Derek as he took him all the way to five sets before succumbing.  Joe and Robert were beaten in the doubles but did take a set from Mick and Bob.
