Chatham Endurance recorded a 2nd 6-4 win of the season against Sturdee 3. The hosts must have feared the worse when they found themselves 4-0 down as Gareth Fox beat both Neil Tydeman and Andy Marchant and Claire Blackman and young Max Antrim (playing up for his 3rd Div One match) took care of Jaspal Plaha and Andy Marchant respectively. However, Sturdee responded as Tydeman won his other two singles and Andy beat Claire. Max then beat Jaspal and so did Gareth to complete his hatrick to make the score 3-6 going into the Doubles. Neil and Jaspal won this in the 5th to make the scoreline read much better than it looked earlier in the evening.
