Rainham 3 found themselves in the unusual position of being 4-1 down away to Luton Inv.2 before taking the last 5 points to record a 6-4 win which moves them to joint 2nd in the Div One table. Also unusual was Alan Morton losing for the first time this season (over 5 legs to Dave Hopkins). Alan won his other 2 which was enough to get him another Player of the Match Award. Georgi Atanasov also won twice for the visitors coming back from 2 legs down against Dave but came unstuck against Ross Childs who also beat Graham Watts. Graham also came 2nd best against Tony Boarer but did get a point on the board,as at 1-1 in legs against Dave, the Luton man had to concede due to an wrist injury sustained when beating Alan earlier. No gain without pain as the saying goes !
