Two sides who will no doubt be fighting it out at the top of Div One this season met this week, and the result was only decided by  a last gasp victory in the Doubles for Rainham 3. Alan Morton retained his unbeaten record but had to come back from 2-1 down in legs before finally overcoming Dave Lewis. Georgi Atanasov also beat Lewis and Alan Bridle(in the 5th) but was undone by Peter Mortley. Rainham Captain Graham Watts made his seasonal debut but found it tough against the experienced and skillful visitors. Cliffe stay top despite this defeat.
