It was a case of Roger "no mates" for Roger Morley this week, as all his Howard 2 teammates decided to go on holiday  at the same time leaving him to face Boxley 1 by himself. However, he was in fine form, especially his forehand loop, as he beat Mick Sheppard and Barry Roles in straight legs. He had to work a bit harder against Gary Hentschel, who was making his first appearance of the season for the home side. Gary took the first leg and was unlucky not to take Roger to a 5th just losing the 4th in deuce. Boxley were quite grateful for the 7 conceded points given their difficult start to the season.
