Cumberland ran out 7,3 winners with Rikki Clarke picking up a maximum for Rainham, the best, a surprising  three leg demolition of Dean Chipperfield. The latter registered a brace, although Dave Barr pushed him all the way, before going down 11,2 in the fifth. Jamie Somerset and Steve Carter managed two wins each with Gary Clarke almost overcoming Steve Clarke, just being edged out 13,11 in the decider. Rainham will probably feel a little disappointed in the result, with Gary Clarke and Dave Barr not quite finding their A game.
