Cumberland took another step to safety with a 7,3 triumph over fellow strugglers Howard 2. 
Dean Chipperfield and Jamie Somerset picked up fairly comfortable trebles and were supported by youngster Abbie Hurley, who had one victory to show for her efforts, defeating Robert Jarazoynski, in a five set thriller. John Kane & Howard captain Alex Clarke both overcame  Abbie Hurley but Howard did manage to win the doubles in four to make the scoreline more respectable
