Sturdee bounced back from their first match defeat with a resounding victory. Wayne Youngs was in sparkling form, not losing a leg in his treble. Tim Vaughan also went undefeated but had to dig deep to come back from behind to just edge out Robert Jaroszynski 11,9 in the decider. Ian Parkes secured to fifth leg wins, John Kayne and Roger Morley his victims. Robert Jaroszynski spared Howard's blushes with  a hard fought fourth leg win over Ian Parkes. Sturdee won the doubles for a fine 9,1 triumph
