This match may have had a completely different ending had Rainham been able to field a full team.  For long periods in this encounter Rainham looked like they might be able to salvage a draw but Hector had Shaune Hollis who beat both Steve Hayes and Bob Mahon.  John Allen lost both his singles but Malcolm Kay just hung on to beat Bob in 5 after his close loss to Steve 10-12,11-13,11-8,13-11,9-11.  Hector are 1 point behind Boxley in 4th and Rainham 5 are 8th.
