Hector had their best result of the season over lowly Rainham 6 with this workmanlike win. Despite some close sets Rainham came second best gaining only two sets in the singles when Tony Parry and Radoslav Lackan took a set from Simon Fever and also a set in the doubles but Eddie Stevens had a miserable night losing all three in straight sets. Both Jon Jennings and Malcolm Kay gained trebles without dropping a set and joined together to win the doubles in 4.
