CHATHAM FURIOUS 8 RAINHAM 5 2
Although there were some close sets Furious usually won these in the end. The most notable exception to this was when John Caplen came back from 2-0 down to Mike Carlyle to take the next two 18-16,13-11 only to succumb 11-9 in the fifth. John did get Rainham's sole singles point when he beat Liam Coake in Liam's only loss and John also partnered Steve Hayes to a fifth set doubles win. Mike Carlyle and Kevin Towner both got trebles for Furious with Steve Hayes and Bob Mahon finishing winless for Rainham.
