Chatham Dorset found themselves 4-0 down to this week's opponents, Cliffe Woods 2, before rallying to a respectable 4-6 defeat. Gareth Fox started the comeback when he beat Andy Larner in a competitive 5 leg battle and then added a 2nd win against Dave Lewis to complete an impressive double over the Woods' player this season. Dave did,however, win his other two games against Claire Blackman and Phil Humphries. Andy also beat Phil but lost to Claire and with Peter Mortley in treble winning form (all in straight legs), Dorset needed the Doubles to achieve the 4th point. Gareth/Claire beat Peter/Andy surprisingly comfortably given that pairs' previously unbeaten record. Woods are 4th in the table whereas Dorset have just one more game to get enough points to avoid possible relegation, which has still to be decided.
