When these two sides met earlier in the season Cliffe Woods only fielded one player, so with a full team this time round, at least they were able to give the League One pace setters a proper match. Indeed 5 of the top 7 players in the Div One averages (before play) were on duty so a close match ensued only decided in Upnor's favour courtesy of a Doubles victory at the end of the evening. Shane Jarrett showed why he is top of the averages with a fine treble only dropping a leg to Dave Lewis who was Woods' best player beating both Nick Boden and Peter Worthington. Peter Mortley and Mike Kemlo also beat Boden to give him a rare winless evening but Worthington beat Peter and Mike to ensure Upnor march on at the top.
